In 2010, I became a Blue Heron student. The BH family gave me a helping hand during the most important time of my life and provided all the support I needed to build a solid foundation for a fulfilling life. I was a student in the program for 5 years, during which time I was blessed to have Mrs. Mara Chindriș as a mentor. Despite the distance that separates us, I always feel close to her and I cannot thank her enough for everything that she has done for me. She was the angel who watched over me and helped me unconditionally, despite being on the other side of the ocean.
Even as a high-school student l was aware jobs were scarce and hard to get. So, as a BA and Master’s student I decided to go through with 2 majors: Pharmacy Assistant and Medical Assistant. At first, I didn’t really understand the meaning of volunteer work, but in time, I discovered how important it was. I worked as a volunteer for a pharmacy and afterwards I volunteered for the Suceava Environment Agency. After I got my master’s degree, with the help of Mrs. Alexandra Arnăutu, I got my 1st job, working for the Romanian Recycling Association, on environmental issues (spot on with my Undergraduate major).
2 years later, I still work there and I could not be happier. I would like to extend my thank you to the entire Blue Heron family and everyone else who trusted me. I am barely starting, so you will hear from me soon enough!
